Prepare Your Parking Lot For Concrete Leveling

Share Post:

Commercial concrete leveling requires a little more work than residential concrete leveling because of the guests coming in and out of the property. Not only do you have to worry about getting the property itself ready for the process, but you also have to make sure your customers and employees stay away from the work site during the leveling process. We will take care of most of the prep work for you, but there are some things you can do to get your parking lot ready for concrete leveling. Follow these quick tips to get started.

Block Off A Section Of The Parking Lot

If there are no cars on your parking lot at night, we will simply come out at that time to complete your concrete leveling. Assuming that you have people at your business 24 hours a day, you may need to block off a section of the parking lot ahead of time to prevent people from parking there. Wait until all of the cars are gone from that section, and create a barrier with caution tape, traffic cones, or something else along those lines. We can come out and do this for you if you do not have the tools or equipment to create the barrier.

Alert Your Employees

Let your employees know about the concrete raising ahead of time. This will ensure that they stay away from the leveling contractors while they complete their work, and it will allow them to inform your guests about what is going on. Send out a mass email a few days before the leveling occurs, along with a follow-up the day before we come out to your property. Most leveling projects are completed in a few hours, so your employees should not be impacted much by our work.

Post Signs Near The Parking Lot

We will post signs asking people to stay away from our equipment and workers while they are on the job, but you can also hang signs in your doorways to let people know what is happening on your property. This will help the clients see that you are still open for business, and it will give you a chance to apologize for the inconvenience. A simple note that says “Pardon our mess while we work to improve your guest experience” is all you need to keep your clients informed.

With the right parking lot preparation ahead of time, you will experience minimal interruptions from your concrete leveling.
